The Cerebral Palsy (Spastic) Children’s Association of Penang (CPCAP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with cerebral palsy, irrespective of their religious or ethnic background. Our primary focus is on providing educational, rehabilitative, and vocational services, all geared towards empowering these children to achieve their maximum potential and lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Our dedication lies in the establishment of sustainable, long-term educational, vocational, and rehabilitation programs. We firmly believe that every child deserves equal access to high-quality services, which will empower them, enhance their abilities, and equip them to become active members of inclusive communities after they leave our center.

To achieve these goals, we offer a range of services, including special education, therapies, computer education, and vocational training. Our special education is divided into three segments, namely the Early Intervention Programme, Preschool, and Primary Section. Our range of therapies includes Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Hydrotherapy, all tailored to address the unique needs of each individual.

In our computer education program, we teach students to use assistive devices for computer access and train them in various software applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools, desktop publishing software, and internet usage. By providing adaptive technologies and tailored software solutions, individuals with cerebral palsy can learn to use computers for various purposes, such as communication, education, and recreation.

To prepare young adults for both open employment and a sheltered environment, we offer training in Practical Classes and Sheltered Workshop settings. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that each child at CPCAP is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to lead a fulfilling and independent life within their communities.
